After the course a student understands the most frequently used phrases and vocabulary of his closest areas of life (for example basic information about himself and his family, about shopping, geography of the region, employment). He is able to understand the main information included in short, clear, simple communications, announcements. He can read very short, simple texts. He is able to find detailed, predictable information in simple, everyday materials such as advertisements, advertising brochures, menus, schedules, simple personal letters. Can communicate in simple and routine situations requiring a simple direct exchange of information on subjects familiar to him. Can cope with simple social situations, even if he can’t understand everything and yet cannot sustain a conversation independently. Can use a series of phrases and sentences to describe in simple terms his family and other people, living conditions, his educational background and his present or last performed job. He can make a short, simple note and write the message regarding matters related to emergency. He can write a personal letter of gratitude for example, email and SMS.
