Water and Sewage Engineering 1300-OIWSP-GES
During the course, the students get acquainted with the theory and practice of various methods of determining aquifer (groundwater) susceptibility to pollution, and carry out a study to assess the susceptibility to contamination. The students perform a series of design activities to get acquainted with the methods of solving particular tasks of water management and sewage disposal systems. The research is carried out in relation to the existing settlements with a population of up to 10,000. Data used in the research derive from the report of the Central Statistical Office "Gminy w Polsce", municipal spatial management plans, hydrological annuals and unpublished hydrological reports on the quality of surface water and hydro-geological documentation for groundwater intakes. The design work is carried out in the frame of appropriate legal regulations.
Beside the hours for organized activities (30 h), the students should plan in addition up to about 90 h for the preparation to classes, independent literature studies and preparation for the assessment.
