Balroom dancing - only for men 4023-O-TTM
Ballroom dance lessons on the beginner level with potential follow-up on the intermediate and advanced levels. Classes will be run to music for specific dance styles.
Throughout the semester, students will learn basic steps, figures and choreography of Samba, Cha-cha, Rumba, Salsa, Jive, Disco Samba, Rock'n'roll, Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slowfox and Quickstep.
Students will get acquainted with the typical features of different dance styles as well as the technique of steps, turns and figures in each dance.
They will also learn to combine steps in sequences and short choreographic patterns.
An ear for music and motor memory will be developed by learning choreographic patterns in each dance.

Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
