Leisure fencing 4023-O-SZER1
Fencing, which is one of the oldest sports, is practised by both men and women. It offers great health, educational and recreational benefits. Fencing not only increases general motor fitness, but also improves focus, powers of observation and the fast decision-making ability. It also enhances other mental qualities, such as calmness, initiative, purposefulness and self-reliance.

Learning outcomes
Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
Assessment criteria
The basis for completing the course is regular attendance at classes.
