Term 2023L:
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian Empire remained a multinational state in which only a small part of national movements had a mass character. The topic of the classes is the analysis of ethnic conflicts during the fall of the Empire, which became an arena of sharp military-political confrontation and civil war. In the years 1917-1922, many nations of Russia gained the experience of sovereignization, which contributed to the growth of national self-awareness. During the classes, we will try to show the specificity of national movements in various regions of Russia, their place in the all-Russian balance of political forces, similarities and differences between various trends within national movements, as well as relations with various groups of the anti-Bolshevik camp. |
