Museums in Multicultural World 3600-KM-MWKŚ-OG

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with some elements of museum studies, especially in a multicultural context. The theory of the museum, as well as its various concepts, that changed with the passing of time will be discussed. Students will be acquainted with types of museums, e.g. art museums or digital museums. Different aspects of the museum work will be presented - e.g. preparing exhibitions, conservation, marketing, education and digitalisation.
The classes concentrate on multicultural and intercultural aspects of the museums, both from the European, and Asian-African perspectives.
