Women Studies 3402-00SKOL-OG
The aim of the course is to introduce students with the outcome of the contemporary research in the situation of women and gender equality along with selected theories from the field of gender studies. Additionally there are presented some research in the situation of men (men in feminised occupations, fathers taking care of their children). Among others we discuss: issue of the political representation, women movements, women situation on the labour market, equality of men and women in a family, male violence, media images of men and women, legal issues regarding the gender equality.
