(eng) Polish music in the life of Poles 3004-PMWP-OG
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the most important phenomena and artists related to Polish music and to introduce them to the music culture in Poland. The music will be presented in relation to Polish everyday life and history. Students learn about the historical development of Polish music. Classes will consist of a lecture part, listening to music together and a conversation part.

The students get to know the most important phenomenon of Polish music. They are able to place Polish music in the wider context of Polish and global trends. They can present most important artists of Polish popular music. They know popular songs that accompany Polish rituals and holidays.
Assessment criteria
Presentations – 40%
Attendance (2 absences are tolerated) – 20%
Active participation – 40%
To obtain a course credit at the end of the semester, a student must show achievements in each of the above categories.
A student who receives 0% in one category, will not receive a pass.
