Political and social history of Poland in the 20th century. Facts - problems - interpretations. Great journalistic battles 2700-D-HP-OG
The source basis is, among others press polemics about events and problems that attract public attention (including the election and assassination of the first president of the Second Polish Republic, a dispute over the contribution to regaining independence on the 10th anniversary of the resurrection of Poland, polarization around the idea of a "red and black front" at the end of the decade) the thirties, as well as the debate of politicians and publicists about the shape of the Third Polish Republic after 1989). An important role is also played by memorial sources (censors, journalists) and program-related texts (eg about the duty of opinion leaders towards the public).
The course may be useful for people interested in political science, media, history, Europeanism, and to some extent also sociology and psychology.
