6-7. Canada in the Western Hemisphere. Canada- US relations. Canada-Latin America. Canada in the OAS. NORAD.
8-9. Canada and Europe. Canada GB/Commonwealth. Canada's relations with the EU/France etc. – specificity and main challenges. Canada - Central and Eastern Europe (case study)
10. Canada's relations with African and Asian countries. Canada's relations with China/India/South Africa etc.
11. Canada's relations with other regions of the world. Canada's involvement in the Middle East. Relations with Israel. The role of the Arctic in Canada's Foreign Policy
12. Canada in international organizations. The UN. NATO. International financial institutions. Canada in UN peacekeeping operations. Climate negotiations. Canada's international activity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
13. The political status of Quebec. "Peaceful Revolution". International relations of Canada and Quebec
14. Canadian-Polish relations: from history to the present. Priorities and challenges of bilateral relations

Knowledge
The student knows the main trends and specifics of foreign policy, its main principles, objectives, national interests and the entities shaping it; correctly identifies the importance of activity on a global level; has a thorough knowledge of the process of formulating foreign policies and their social and economic conditions; has knowledge of the political and economic potential of the state and its main problems
Competence:
The student possesses critical thinking ability that he can use in his own professional activities; is able to appropriately define priorities for the implementation of various academic tasks; is able to critically analyze and independently expand knowledge of the subject; can synthesize knowledge from various sources and formulate correct arguments
Abilities:
The student is able to analyse the internal and external determinants of foreign policy; has the ability to interpret international activity in a broader regional and global context; is able to assess the state of bilateral relations and activity at the multilateral level;

Assessment criteria
The course ends with an exam. Main requirements are as follows:
a) attendance at classes - no more that two absences are permitted;
b) activity in classes (30%);
c) a positive grade from the final test (70% of the final assessment).
