Basics of 3D modelling with using Agisoft Metashape software 1300-WPM3D-OG
1. Basics of data acquisition by means of a photo camera: factors influencing the quality of the obtained models. Basics of taking correctly technical photos.
2. Taking pictures independently, using the available photographic equipment, including students' smartphones.
-Managing the proper camera settings
- mastering the lighting settings;
- work with an automatic table controlled by a Raspberry Pi 4 computer;
- use of a shadeless tent
- adding markers.
3. Basics of planning a photogrammetric survey with a drone in terms of making 3D models.
4. Getting to know the possibilities and requirements of Agisoft Metashape software
- making 3D models on the basis of a self-collected set of photos from a photo camera.
- making 3D models based on low-altitude photogrammetric survey
5. Working with Agisoft Metashape
- aligning images
- building a point cloud;
- creating a polygon mesh based on a point cloud;
- creating a polygon mesh based on depth maps;
- correction and decimation of the obtained grids;
- applying texture;
- adding markers and working with them;
- performing measurements (dimensions, volume, sections) on the obtained models (point clouds);
-export of the model
6. Methods of presenting the model

Learning outcomes
The student is able to:
- Plan and take a set of photos using a camera for creating 3D visualizations.
-Create a 3D model on the basis of photos taken by yourself using the Agisoft program, in particular correctly perform:
• alignment of photos;
• build a point cloud;
• create and work with a mesh ;
• add markers;
• measurements of the obtained object (dimensions, volume)
• export to various programs
- Present the visualization made, taking into account its purpose (movie clip, illustration, etc.)
Assessment criteria
Graded credit. Independent performance of work prepared by the teacher, the implementation of which is based on the skills acquired during the classes. The work should be performed within the time limit set by the teacher. Retake credit on the same terms as in the first term.
Activity and attendance at all classes. Two excused absences from classes are allowed.
Practical placement
none
