EUROREG 2- seminar 4208-sEUR2-OG
It is a series of seminars - lectures presented by theorists and practitioners (in Polish or in English), related with regional development and development policy, representing scientific and public administration institutions, as well as non-governmental organizations. The series is the effect of collaboration of three institutions: EUROREG, the Polish Section of Regional Studies Association and the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development. Both theoretical lectures and results of scientific research are presented, as well as presentations of practitioners representing EU institutions, central, regional and local administration. After each presentation the audience can ask questions and discuss with the speakers. English on at least B2+ level.

Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge, student:
(1) Characterises the social, economic, natural and political conditions of spatial development. (2) Describes the social, economic, natural and political spatial structures in a local, regional and global dimension.
In terms of abilities and skills:
(1) Selects data from the literature, databases and other sources, in Polish or foreign language. (2) Integrates, critically analyses and interprets information from various sources. (3) Formulates the conclusions and justifies the opinions on the basis of their knowledge and information obtained from literature, databases and other sources. (4) Prepares the studies written in Polish presenting in a structured and logical way the information and arguments from the field of spatial development.
In terms of social skills:
(1) Independently improves their skills of preparing the written compilation. (2) Expands their conceptual workshop in the field of spatial development. (3) Specifies the arguments for formulating and communicating to the public information and opinions on various aspects of spatial development and spatial development in a commonly understood manner. (4) Independently broadens their knowledge of the spatial development using the interdisciplinary nature of these issues.
