Objectives of the course in the area of listening comprehension:
1. developing the auditory perception skills of students in relation to various types of audio materials included in the textbook "C'est parti! 1" and authentic ones, using materials accompanying the FLE methods
2. practicing the skill of selective listening to short materials, focused on selecting the most important information (taking notes, linking important information together in order to present it in the form of an organized oral statement)
3. practicing the skill of developing the content discussed in the recording
4. practicing the ability to recognize forms of colloquial language and distinguish forms used in spoken and written language.
Objectives of the course in the area of reading comprehension:
1. developing the ability to read with comprehension, using various types of texts included in the method "C'est parti! 1" and others.
2. familiarizing students with reading strategies necessary for developing the ability to understand original texts and practicing the ability to adapt the form of reading to the purpose of reading
3. developing students' competences that condition reading with comprehension, namely: grammatical, lexical and pragmatic competences; practicing the ability to extract the most important information from the text and organize it in the form of a plan.
Objectives of the classes in the scope of developing speaking skills:
1. developing students' skills in the scope of:
- formulating questions and precise answers
- conducting a conversation (also by phone) on topics related to everyday life
- presenting one's own opinion on topics raised by the discussed texts and recordings from the textbook and others
- presenting a short statement based on the topics raised in the text or recording
- taking part in a discussion (defending one's own opinion, specifying thoughts, opposing the opposing opinion);
2. practicing the ability to make a coherent oral statement on a selected topic in a foreign language while simultaneously checking the linguistic and phonetic correctness at a level appropriate to the level of language proficiency.
Objectives of the course in the development of writing skills
1. to familiarize students with appropriate patterns, the analysis of the structure of which will allow them to master writing short letters, short descriptions, stories, texts presenting their own point of view on a given topic and with a specific structure
2. to introduce students to exercises involving the correction of language errors, to develop and deepen students' knowledge of grammatical and stylistic correctness through transformational exercises.

Assessment criteria
The basis for passing the exercises is:
a) systematically completing homework tasks
b) positive completion of all control work and tests in the semester - 60% passes - the tests consist of five parts: grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing - two tests per semester.
c) positive assessment of the oral presentation at the end of the semester on topics prepared at home and texts prepared on-site in the classroom (15 points out of 25)
d) passing supplementary classes.
- The NJF subject includes supplementary classes - 30 hours, which are of a supporting nature. The classes include remote meetings with the lecturer and independent classes as part of the student's own work. Students are directed to classes by the NJF subject coordinator based on the analysis of the student's progress during NJF classes. Each student referred by the NJF course coordinator is obliged to participate in 80% of online meetings.
Attendance at classes is also required to be counted - the student is entitled to two unexcused absences.
Positive completion of all the above-mentioned elements is necessary to pass the subject.
The student has the right to retake failed tests and oral presentations additionally once in the last week of classes in the semester.

60% -68% - satisfactory
69%-76% - satisfactory plus rating
77%-84% - good rating
85%-92% - good plus
93%- 100%- very good
