Ballroom dancing section 4023-S-TANT
Ballroom Dance – Advanced Level. These classes are intended for participants with prior experience in ballroom dancing. Sessions are held with music that matches each dance style. During the course, participants:
- improve their technique and performance of steps, figures, and choreographies in styles such as samba, cha-cha, rumba, jive, English waltz, tango, and Viennese waltz,
- deepen their understanding of each dance’s style, with a focus on turns, partner connection, and body movement,
- work on confident partner leading and smooth transitions between dance elements to create longer choreographies,
- develop musicality, movement memory, and rhythm precision through practice with advanced dance routines,
- refine their movement aesthetics, coordination, and artistic expression according to the principles of advanced ballroom dancing.

Students:
- will know and understand methodology of physical preparation for the skiing season,
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning,
- will be able to exercise safely,
- will learn how to work in a team.
Assessment criteria
The basis for passing the subject is systematic and active participation in it.
