Men’s volleyball 4023-S-PIŁS2
The annual training cycle of the section is based on the calendar of sports events. For the first team, the volleyball season begins on August 15 and lasts until the end of June, or sometimes longer. The training cycle aims to prepare students to compete in the Volleyball League Second Division, University Championships of Poland, University Championships of Warsaw and beach volleyball tournaments. The second team begins training in October and ends in June.
The pre-season period involves comprehensive training, focusing on stamina, jumping skills, speed and technique of each player.
In the in-season period, the training aims at perfecting the individual skills and specialisation of each player, as well as individual and team tactics.
The best athletes are eligible for sports scholarship or a tuition fee discount.

Learning outcomes
Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
Assessment criteria
The PE credit is earned for regular attendance and active participation in training sessions as well as competitions and tournaments.
