Men’s basketball section 4023-S-PIŁKO2

The basketball section of the University Sports Association has been here forever and always thriving. We compete in the University Championships of Poland and the Polish Basketball League (for Poland’s 12 top college teams). In addition, we compete in the Warsaw College Basketball League and numerous tournaments in Poland and abroad. We invite primarily students with previous basketball club experience. Everyone is welcome.
Please bring your sports outfit for a try-out.

Prerequisites (description)

Training sessions are intended for former sport club members or former school team players with a record of competing at least in the school championship finals in their city. Health declaration - after knowing the ruls of the sport section of the University of Warsaw I declare, that Im healthy and I can fully take part in these exercises. In case of any difficulties, I will inform the teacher.

Learning outcomes

Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff

Assessment criteria

Student’s active participation in training sessions and basketball league games.
