Sports Aerobics 4023-S-AER
Sports Aerobics Section workout is structured as follows: (i) a warm-up to music, including dance, co-ordination, flexibility, strength and endurance elements; (ii) the main part, which involves technical practice to learn and perfect both mandatory and optional technical elements from all four difficulty groups, and (iii) the final part, which involves strengthening of various muscle groups (i.e. arm and shoulder girdle muscles, leg muscles, abdominal muscles and back muscles) and stretching exercises.

Learning outcomes
Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
Assessment criteria
The PE credit is earned for regular attendance and active participation in training sessions.
