Balroom dancing 4023-P-TANT
Students will learn basic steps, figures and choreography of Samba, Cha-cha, Rumba, Salsa, Jive, Disco Samba, Rock'n'roll, Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slowfox and Quickstep.
Students will get acquainted with the typical features of different dance styles as well as the technique of steps, turns and figures in each dance.
They will also learn to combine steps in sequences and short choreographic patterns.
An ear for music and motor memory will be developed by learning choreographic patterns in each dance.
Classes will be run to music for specific dance styles.
Your dancing partner does not have to be a student of the University of Warsaw.
The classes are open to any persons, including non-students.

Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.

Term 2025Z:
In order to complete a mandatory PE course, students need 30 tokens to register. Students who enrolled into a PE course and then, for any reason whatsoever, failed to complete it or resigned from classes, yet had not withdrawn before the end of the second round of enrolment, will lose 30 tokens. Repurchase of the lost tokens costs PLN 240 (more at www.wfisport.uw.edu.pl).
