Women's self - defense 4023-P-SAMK
Women's Self Defence - specialized self-defense classes aimed at improving the security and defense capabilities of women. Unlike many other self-defense courses, this one offers participants technics created for women based on anatomical and strengh diffrences. It also helps to defeat mental obstacles. Make up deliberatly for women. Classes will include general development elements improving strength, flexibility, agility and specialist elements in the field of self-defense. Classes are conducted by Zbigniew Wójcik 7 dan Okinawa Shorin-ryu Karate-do, 5 dan Okinawa Kobudo, 4 dan Karate_do Shotokan, karate instructor, kempo and krav maga.

Learning outcomes
Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
Assessment criteria
Presence and active work during the sport classes is crucial. Taking part in competitions and sport rivalry.

Term 2025Z:
In order to complete a mandatory PE course, students need 30 tokens to register. Students who enrolled into a PE course and then, for any reason whatsoever, failed to complete it or resigned from classes, yet had not withdrawn before the end of the second round of enrolment, will lose 30 tokens. Repurchase of the lost tokens costs PLN 240 (more at www.wfisport.uw.edu.pl).
The Physical Education and Sports Centre reserves the right to change the course curriculum depending on the fitness of the students. The classes are open to any persons, including non-students. |
