Balroom dancing - only for women 4023-O-TTK
Ballroom Dance Classes – beginner level (with options to continue to intermediate and advanced levels). During the semester, students will:
- learn and improve basic and more complex steps, moves, and short choreographies in styles like samba, cha-cha, rumba, jive, English waltz, tango, and Viennese waltz,
- get to know the characteristics and techniques of each dance, including how to do steps, turns, and figures correctly,
- practice dancing in pairs and learn how to lead and follow,
- develop musicality and movement memory by dancing to music and learning routines,
- improve their sense of rhythm, movement coordination, and dancing together as a couple, following ballroom dance rules.

Learning outcomes
Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
