The analysis will examine the factors shaping the identity of the Nordic countries, their international environment, and the historical experiences that influence their relationship with the outside world at the local and regional levels (Northern Europe, the Baltic region), as well as their relations with neighbors and major powers that directly shape international relations.

Within the thematic blocks, internal and external factors that shape the specific distinctiveness of the Nordic countries (each individually and collectively, as a separate region of Europe), their perception in the world, and the role they play on the international stage in various aspects of inter-state relations will be presented.
