Upon completion a student can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure etc; s/he can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst traveling in an area where the language is spoken; s/he can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest; s/he can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Level B1
After completing the course, the student:
SKILLS
B1_U1 - communicates freely on topics related to everyday life and in typical social situations
B1_U2 – understands texts and verbal messages of various types related to personal and professional interests
B1_U3 - understands information contained in selected everyday materials and simple popular science texts
B1_U4 – can write a simple text composed of complex sentences on a topic known to him or related to his interests
B1_U5 - can use some popular science sources in the studied language
KNOWLEDGE
B1_W1 - has in-depth knowledge of the culture, history and geography of the country or region B1_W2 - has knowledge of the society of a given linguistic area
B1_W3 – is aware of the comprehensive nature of the language (including grammar, inflection, phraseology) and its complexity
SOCIAL COMPETENCE
B1_K1 – cooperates in a group, using the language taught
B1_K2 – knows learning strategies and understands the need for self-education and lifelong learning
B1_K3 – knows the customs and forms of behavior applicable in a given cultural and linguistic area
B1_K4 – is sensitive to problems resulting from cultural differences
Assessment criteria
a. Passing the language course consists of the following elements:
activity in classes: 25% of the grade
results of tests, partial tests, homework: 25% of the grade
final test result: 50% of the grade
b. To obtain a positive grade, you must demonstrate achievements in each
from the above-mentioned categories (a student who receives 0% in
any category).
c. Rating scale
99 – 100% 5! (excellent)
93 – 98% 5 (very good)
87 – 92% 4+ (good plus)
77–86% 4 (good)
71 – 76% 3+ (sufficient plus)
60 – 70% 3 (sufficient)
d. For completing a 60-hour language course, i.e. achieving the expected learning outcomes,
the student receives 2 ECTS.
e. For completing a 30-hour language course, i.e. achieving the expected learning outcomes,
student receives 1 ECTS.
f. In the case of 60-hour language classes, you can miss 6 hours of classes without
excuses. In the case of 30-hour language classes, it is permissible
missing four hours of classes without excuse.
