Tito, Hoxha, Ceaușescu, Zhivkov – political biografies of communist dictators in the Balkans 3620-THC-SP-OG
The lecture will be organized following personal biographies of
the four aforementioned dictators. This will provide also a
closer analysis of the rise, development and implementation of
communist ideas in the Balkans during the “short” 20 th
century. Henceforth, there will be five main blocks:
1. Tito,
2. Hoxha
3. Ceaușescu
4. Zhivkov
5. Synthetization effort

Attendance at lectures, two permitted absences, individual
