Orient in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth 3620-ODR-H-OG
The course covers the following issues or groups of issues:
- historical background (relations of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth with the Oriental
world)
- chronology and routes of permeation of Oriental art into Old Polish culture and the
participation of oriental communities living in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
- the ideological basis of the presence of Oriental art in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
- basic categories of products of Oriental art used in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
- imitation of Oriental art in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
- contemporary Polish historical collections in Poland and abroad.
