Communism in Albanian - the construction and fall of real socialism in Albania 3620-KABUS-SP-OG
The subject of the lecture will be the history of the communist regime in Albania in the years 1944-1991. Considering the length of the material, the classes will be divided into thematic blocks. The first block will discuss the political history, construction and functioning of the power apparatus and the system of repression. The second block will be devoted to social changes, the effects of modernization and urbanization, and changes in social structures. The third block will be devoted to cultural issues and changes in Albanian culture in the second half of the 20th century under the communist rule.

Class attendance is obligatory. Two absences are allowed and all other additional absences must be credited during the call. In the case of classes conducted remotely and in conditions of impossibility of conducting an oral exam, the form of crediting may be an on-line test with open questions.
