Intercultural Communication: Contexts and Frameworks 3600-KMKN(KS)-OG
The aim of the course is to provide participants with fundamental knowledge of the main theories and concepts of intercultural communication and to highlight their significance in the contemporary world. Particular emphasis will be placed on the practical application of the acquired knowledge.
Specifically, the course objectives include familiarising students with:
theories of culture;
theories of intercultural communication;
currents of Orientalism and postcolonialism;
practical applications of these theories, e.g., in intercultural marketing and in functioning within multicultural teams.

Assessment criteria
Attendance control (minimum 80% attendance) and active participation in class.
Short formative assessment following completion of selected tasks.
Pre-test and post-test to evaluate learning progress.
Theoretical knowledge will be evaluated through a post-test.
Practical application of the learned theories will be assessed through role-plays and gamified activities.
