Fundamentals of professional online communication 3300-PKO(KC)-OG
The course provides students with basic tools and strategies of online communication in professional and institutional contexts. Students learn to identify key concepts, analyze real-life communication practices, and design their own digital communication solutions. Particular emphasis is placed on developing digital, entrepreneurial, and social skills that enable the conscious use of online tools in professional and public activities.
The course is based on case studies from business, NGOs, and public institutions, as well as practical exercises and mini group projects.

• fundamental concepts of online communication,
• basics of digital marketing (4P, 4C, segmentation, personas, USP),
• institutional and branding communication (business, NGOs, public sector),
• channels and tools of online communication (social media, websites, newsletters),
• basics of copywriting and content marketing,
• WordPress as a communication tool (publishing, blogging, institutional website),
• ethics, credibility, and security in online communication.

After completing the course, students will be able to:
• understand the basic principles of professional online communication,
• identify and use the main channels and tools of digital communication,
• demonstrate knowledge of the fundamentals of internet marketing,
• create simple communication materials (text, visuals, social media posts),
• assess the effectiveness of communication practices based on examples and simple analyses,
• recognize the importance of ethics, security, and credibility in online communication.
Assessment criteria
The basis for assessing knowledge in the course will be:
• a pre-test,
• evaluation of partial assignments available after selected course modules,
• a post-test.
