Dutch - Basic level 3300-NIDOA1-A2
INTENSIVE BASIC COURSE FOR BEGINNERS: after the first semester (winter) the student reaches level A1, and after the second semester (summer) - level A2.
LEVEL A1: After a course at this level, the student, when spoken slowly and clearly, understands basic expressions about himself, his family, his immediate environment. In written text he understands familiar vocabulary, names and simple sentences. He is able to read information contained, for example, in advertisements, posters, catalogs. The student is able to communicate in a simple way, provided that the interlocutor is prepared to repeat the speech at a slower pace, and help formulate what he wants to say. He is able to ask and answer questions about topics of everyday life, his own needs of familiar topics. Can use simple phrases and sentences to describe where he lives, where he comes from and people he knows. Can write a short, simple text, such as greetings from a vacation. Can fill out a form with personal information, give nationality, occupation, address in, for example, a hotel registration form. In addition to linguistic proficiency, the student learns elements of culture and daily life of the inhabitants of the Dutch-speaking area (the Netherlands and Flanders).
LEVEL A2: After a course at this level, the student understands expressions and the most commonly used vocabulary relating to the areas of life closest to him (e.g., basic information about himself and his family, shopping, the geography of his region, employment). He can grasp the main sense of statements contained in short, clear, simple messages, announcements. Can read very short, simple texts. Can find detailed, predictable information in simple, everyday materials such as advertisements, commercials, prospectuses, menus, timetables, simple personal letters. Can communicate in simple and routine situations requiring simple direct exchange of information on topics familiar to him. Can handle simple social situations, even if he can't understand everything and can't yet sustain a conversation on his own. Can use a series of phrases and sentences to describe in simple terms his family and others, his living conditions, his education and his current and recent work. Can make a short, simple note and write a message regarding matters of emergency. He is able to write a personal letter such as a thank you note, an email and a text message.

Assessment criteria
(1) The grade for a passing grade in a language class consists of the following:
- activity in class - 25% of the grade,
- results of tests, midterm tests, homework - 25% of the grade,
- the result of the final assessment test - 50% of the grade
at the same time, in order to receive a passing grade for the semester, it is necessary to demonstrate achievement in each of the above-mentioned categories (no credit will be given to a student who receives 0% in any category, i.e. has not shown any activity in one of them).

99 - 100% - 5! (excellent)
93 - 98% - 5 (very good)
87 - 92% - 4+ (good plus)
77 - 86% - 4 (good)
71 - 76% - 3+ (sufficient plus)
60 - 70% - 3 (sufficient)
For passing 60 hours of classes, i.e. achieving the assumed learning outcomes, the student receives 2 ECTS.
(2) In addition, the lecturer will determine detailed rules and criteria for passing and will make them known to students at the first classes of the academic year.
(3) In a semester comprising 60 hours of classes (30x2 hours), 3 classes may be missed without excuse. The missed classes must be passed in accordance with the requirements of the instructor; these requirements are communicated to students by the lecturer at the first classes.
(4) A passing grade (and ECTS points) is entered in the USOS system.
(5) A failing grade may be entered only as a result of unsatisfactory academic performance, confirmed by grades on a credit test, tests, homework, etc.
6. Student register and deregister from classes independently (in the token registration service) only during the registration rounds.
