Development of communicative competence in Russian (A2+) 3222-KKKROS3C[A2]-OG
The content of the teaching is subordinated to the assumption of openness to the cognitive and communicative needs of the students and to their intentions related to the possibility of obtaining the qualification necessary for their future profession or functioning in the country whose language they are studying. According to the information provided above, the classes include a series of practical exercises aimed at basic communicative situations through which students acquire the vocabulary and grammatical rules of the language.
In addition, the aim of the classes is to train listening, speaking, reading, writing skills and to acquire and extend students' linguistic competence in:
1. general understanding of written and spoken texts of varying levels of difficulty
3. express content learned in class in textual or aural form, in grammatically correct oral and written expression
4. express their own opinion using their knowledge and vocabulary acquired in class;
5. conversation on topics taken from everyday life and in everyday situations, as well as the ability to prepare statements on simple topics (active participation in discussions).
Knowledge of the rules of grammar provides for: the ability to construct grammatically correct sentences; the ability to solve grammar and grammar-lexical exercises correctly.
Student workload:
Contact hours (in class)- 60 hrs - 2 ECTS
Preparation for the classes - 30 hrs - 1 ECTS
Preparation for the exam - 30 hrs - 1 ECTS

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the semester, the student:
- knows and understands spoken and written Russian in accordance with the requirements specified for level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (K1_W12);
- is able to communicate in oral and written Russian in accordance with the requirements specified for level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (K1-U14).
Assessment criteria
The final assessment is in written form.
Assessment criteria are presented in the form of percentage thresholds (pass marks)
99% -100% - 5 !(grade very good with an exclamation mark)
93% - 98% - 5 (very good)
87% - 92% - 4+ (good plus grade)
77% - 86% - 4 (evaluation good)
70% - 76% - 3+ (mark sufficient plus)
60% - 69% - 3 (sufficient)
Students are allowed up to 4 unexcused absences, each subsequent absence requires an excuse to be submitted. The student's attendance in class is confirmed by a signature on a list.
A student has the right to take a credit in the re-sit session in the same form as in the basic session and on condition of obtaining a pass in the course.
Exceeding excused and unexcused absences in 50% of classes may be the basis for failing the course.
