Development of communicative competence in Russian (A1) 3222-KKKROS[A1]-OG
The content of the teaching is subordinated to the assumption of openness to the cognitive and communicative needs of the students and to their intentions related to the possibility of obtaining the qualification necessary for their future profession or functioning in the country whose language they are studying. According to the information provided above, the classes include a series of practical exercises aimed at basic communicative situations through which students acquire the vocabulary and grammatical rules of the language.
In addition, the aim of the classes is to train listening, speaking, reading, writing skills and to acquire and extend students' language competence in:
1. general understanding of written and spoken texts of varying levels of difficulty
3. express content learned in class in a textual or aural form, in a grammatically correct oral and written (complex) expression
4. express their own opinion using their lexical range and knowledge gained in class;
5. have conversations on topics of everyday life and in everyday situations
Knowledge of the rules of grammar provides: the ability to construct grammatically correct sentences; the ability to solve grammar and grammar-lexical exercises correctly.
Student workload:
Contact hours (online)- 60 hrs - 2 ECTS
Preparation for classes - 30 hrs - 1 ECTS
Preparation for the credit - 30 hrs - 1 ECTS

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student:
- knows and understands spoken and written Russian in accordance with the requirements specified for level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - K1_W12;
- is able to communicate in oral and written Russian in accordance with the requirements specified for level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - K1_U14;
- is able to plan and carry out his/her own lifelong learning independently (K1_U11);
- plan and organise his/her individual and team work (K1_U12).
- is willing to critically evaluate his/her knowledge and perceived content
(K1_K01).
Assessment criteria
Prerequisites for passing the course and for admission to the final examination:
- attendance in class;
- control of current preparation
- completion of control tests and translation tests;
- completion of group and individual projects.
The final test is in a written form.
Assessment criteria are presented in the form of percentage thresholds (point conversion):
99-100% - 5 !(grade very good with an exclamation mark)
93- 98% - 5 (very good grade)
87-92% - 4+ (good plus grade)
77-86% - 4 (good grade)
70-76% - 3+ (mark satisfactory plus)
60-69% - 3 (pass/fail)
Students are allowed up to 4 unexcused absences, each subsequent absence requires an excuse to be submitted. Exceeding the allowed number of unexcused absences in class will result in an additional oral answer before taking the final credit.
Students have the right to take a credit test in a make-up session in the same form as in the core session and subject to obtaining a pass in the course.
