Literature of the Belarusian national minority in Poland 3221-S1-FBA-LBMN-OG
During the semester lecture, issues related to Belarusian literature written in Poland are discussed and the work of individual writers is characterized. These are:
1. Andrasiuk Michaś
2. Artymowicz Nadzieja - a poet of loneliness, a supporter of modernist tendencies and an opponent of traditional poetry;
3. Bajena Jerzy - creator of the third poetic way, eulogist of the motherland, who bows low to the Białowieża nature;
4. Barski Aleś (Aleksander Barszczewski) - poet, prose writer, translator, literary scholar and folklorist; the main topics of his poetic interests are the realities of the motherland, admiration for nature, love, as well as the judgment of renegade and national nihilism;
5. Bursz Jasza (Aniserowicz Jan) - opponent of traditional Belarusian poetry and enthusiast of poetic innovation;
6. Czykwin Jan - poet, prose writer and literary scholar; author of numerous poems devoted to love and the motherland;
7. Hajduk Mikołaj - pet, prose writer and folklorist, author of historical stories, collector and publisher of Belarusian fairy tales, legends and songs;
8. Hajduk Włodzimierz - the main themes of this poet's work are: attachment to his motherland and love for his mother;
9. Heniusz Jerzy - writer of unfulfilled dreams and possibilities, author of poems, stories, columns, journalistic articles and dramatic works;
10. Janowicz Sokrat - the most universal Belarusian writer in Poland - a poet, prose writer, playwright, journalist; he became famous as the author of literary miniatures translated into English;
11. Łuksza Mira - poet, prose writer and journalist; an excellent expert on the soul of Polish Belarusian;
12. Pietruczuk Wasil
13. Rudczyk Wiktor - a prose writer illustrating social and national phenomena on the Belarusian-Polish-Ukrainian border;
14. Shachowicz Michaś
15. Szatyłowicz Dymitr - a traditionalist poet, attached to his native land; described his own participation in the fight against the Wehrmacht as a Red Army soldier;
16. Wiktor the Swede - the most prolific poet among Białowieża citizens; author of numerous poems for children, traditionalist;
17. Wołkowycki Jerzy - Belarusian activist, for many years editor of the weekly Belarusian in Poland "Niwa", journalist and poet; he also wrote under the pseudonym of Jurek Zubrycki;

Assessment criteria
Attendance and active participation in classes, regular preparation for classes, regular oral and written tests, final oral test.
During the final test, questions are asked concerning issues covered during the seminar.

Student: characterises an era, period or literary movement with the use of various determinants (philosophical, ideological, poetic, etc.), recalls the names of notable figures (including secondary), shows a detailed knowledge of the content of texts, performs a comprehensive analysis (referring to the genre, structure and content), lists various research positions, and places a writer's oeuvre and work in the historical-literary process. Their response is spontaneous, comprehensive, well-thought-out, and the student uses specialist terminology extensively.

Student: characterises an era, period or literary movement, shows knowledge of the content of texts, performs analysis (referring to the genre, structure and content), puts a writer's oeuvre and work in the context of the era. Their response is fluent, and the student uses specialist terminology.

Student: to a limited extent, after additional questions are asked, characterises an era, period or literary movement, demonstrates basic knowledge of the content of texts, performs analysis at a basic level (referring only to content), lists only a few figures from the movement and their work, indicates only constitutive features of the era, period or literary movement. Their response is hesitant; consists of incohesive information, and the student requires guidance from the examiner.
Requirements for grade 5!
- 3 points for each question,
- meeting the requirements for 3 points and additionally: knowledge and skills from outside the curriculum, knowledge of reading beyond the reading list, references to world literature.
The conditions for passing the course on the resit exam are the same as on the ordinary of exam.
