The classes are a continuation of the Belarusian language course at the B2 level and cover theoretical and practical aspects of writing texts in Belarusian, focusing on lexical, grammatical, and stylistic aspects.
During the course, students work with texts from various genres, analyzing vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, and style. They then write texts based on the instructor's assignments.
Particular attention was paid to the rules of etiquette: writing wishes, letters of request, and business letters.

Knowledge: The graduate knows and understands:
at an advanced level the specific subject matter and ethodology of linguistic research; at an advanced level linguistic terminology; at an advanced level the main directions of development in linguistic research and the most important contemporary problems and challenges.
Skills: Graduates are able to:
search for, analyze, evaluate, select, and utilize information
using multilingual sources, including online sources; formulate and analyze research problems in the field of linguistics, select research methods and tools, including advanced information and communication techniques; use theoretical approaches, research paradigms, and concepts
specific to linguistics when communicating with others
and during debates and discussions; plan and organize individual work and collaborate in a team (including
on interdisciplinary tasks).
Social competences: the graduate is ready to:
critically evaluate their knowledge and the content they receive; recognize the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive and practical problems and seek expert opinions; establish priorities for the implementation of tasks assigned by themselves and others
in the field of social obligations.
Assessment criteria
Requirements for receiving the final exam:
- 2 absences from class are permitted,
- systematic preparation of assigned material for class,
- timely completion of homework and assessment tests,
- active participation in class.
The final exam is in written form and consists of a test.
Percentage scale for the written exam:
Below 51% – 2.0 (failure)
51% – 60% – 3.0 (satisfactory)
61% – 70% – 3.5 (satisfactory plus)
71% – 80% – 4.0 (good)
81% – 90% – 4.5 (good plus)
91% – 98% – 5.0 (very good)
99% – 100% – 5! (Excellent grade)
The final grade is 50% of the course grade + 50% of the final test grade.
