Ethnology of Asia 3102-LPAZ-OG
Far from being a complete description, this course offers insights into some areas of life and culture of a few societies, where the author was doing his fieldwork. Concentrating on the issues of religion, symbolism and ritual, it analyzes basic ideas and institutions of spiritual life and symbolic language of traditional nomadic groups of Central Asia and Siberia as well as some phenomena in modern societies like Japanese or Chinese.
