Modern Lithuanian culture 3020-KWL-OG
During the course, the most important phenomena taking place in various fields of Lithuanian art are discussed (using selected examples). Students not only become acquainted with the culture of contemporary Lithuania, but also develop the habits of independent interpretation of cultural phenomena and situate them in a broader context. Students' interests and current events (events) related to the presentation of Lithuanian culture in Poland will be taken into account when planning the topics of the course.

On completion of the course the student will:
(KNOWLEDGE)
- Has an in-depth knowledge of selected issues of Lithuanian culture;
- characterises the specificity of the spiritual and material culture of Lithuania;
(SKILLS)
- recognises the most important tendencies and trends in contemporary Lithuanian art and indicates its relations with European art;
- Analyses and interprets cultural facts using rich argumentative material;
(SOCIAL COMPETENCES)
- is ready to complete knowledge of Lithuanian culture on his/her own;
- is interested in current national and international cultural events.
