What our neighbors read? The review of Lithuanian literature 3020-CSC-OG
During the course, we will discuss the major processes in contemporary Lithuanian literature, using poetry and prose translated into Polish as examples. Through the works of the most significant Lithuanian authors of the second half of the 20th century and early 21st century (prose: Kondrotas, Parulskis, Ivanauskaitė, Radvilavičiūtė, Gavelis, Ivaškevičius, Kunčius, Šlepikas; poetry: Geda, Vaičiūnaitė, Martinaitis, Miliauskaitė, Platelis, Kajokas, Jonynas, Parulskis, Marčėnas, Grajauskas), we will analyze various trends and phenomena in Lithuanian literature of the past half-century, as well as observe how literary texts and writers' attitudes can reflect socio-historical processes.

Assessment criteria
Evaluation of active participation in class, presentation of a selected author or work.
Student is entitled to 2 absences per semester, each subsequent absence should be credited in a manner agreed with the instructor.
