A1 - For Erasmus students after the Polish language course in September 3004-POLOA1E
Students will learn the basics of Polish grammar, simple vocabulary and the most important communication contexts. They mainly practice speaking and listening, as well as reading and writing.
The use of Artificial Intelligence tools, as well as online translators, is possible only when consulted with the lecturer. Without the teacher's approval, it is forbidden to utilize such tools.
In written assignments, it is necessary to point out all the fragments taken from other authors' works, e.g. from articles available online. Plagiarism is a serious academic offense.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student:
- understands short written and oral texts on well-known topics concerning everyday life (family, home, hobby, etc.);
- can formulate questions concerning private life and answer such questions;
- can introduce himself and others;
- can conduct a simple conversation provided that the interlocutor speaks slowly, clearly and is ready to help;
- knows the basics of grammar and elementary vocabulary provided for the A1 level.
Assessment criteria
Stationary course:
- Final test at the end of the course – 40%
- Midterm tests / presentations – 20%
- Home assignments – 20%
- Active attendance at classes – 20%
To obtain a course credit at the end of the semester, a student must show achievements in each of the above categories and pass the final exam (a student who receives 0% in one category, will not receive a pass).
