Learning outcomes
1. Knowledge - the student knows and understands:
(a) the structure of Union private international law and its relationship to national law;
(b) the rules governing the interpretation and application of the EU PPM.
2. Skills - the student is able to:
(a) define the way in which EU private international law is developed and interpreted.
In the field of EU international family law, the student knows and understands the basic rules governing the jurisdiction of the court and the law in cross-border family matters.
Assessment criteria
Active participation in the seminar; reading recommended articles, confirmed by filling in a short questionnaire or speaking with the course instructor
