Learning outcomes

Knowledge:
- a student has basic knowledge of the political history of Brazil (K_W01; K_W03);
-a student has mastered information on the main directions and determinants of the Brazilian foreign policy (K_W06, K_W03);
Skills:
- a student is able to identify the most significant factors shaping the international position of Brazil, both in historical and contemporary perspective (K_U01);
- a student is able to independently assess the state of bilateral relations and multilateral activity of Brazil and analyze information on Brazilian foreign policy and correctly position it in the wider context of regional and global relations (K_U02);
Social competence:
- a student is prepared to perform professional tasks requiring knowledge of Brazil's foreign policy ((K_K01, K_K03);
- a student is able to work in a group but also independently use the acquired skills in the assessment of foreign policies of Latin American countries ((K_K01, K_K04).

Assessment criteria

Continuous assessment (attendance and active participation in classes); written exam
