History of European Integration 2104-ERASMUS-HOEI

The course is built of four blocks.
The first introduces the students to the subject of the course through the analyze and theoretical interpretation of such notion as regionalism, integration and European identity.
The second one presents the origins and the evolution of the European integration since the end of the Second World War till 1989.
The third one is devoted to the establishment of the European Union.
The last one focuses on the development of the EU (1993 – 2009).
The realization of this program will require from the students about 30 hours of work, both in class and at home.

Learning outcomes
Having completed this course, the student is familiar with the principal stages of the development of the European integration, with their specificity, advantages and weaknesses.
Thanks to that knowledge he/she is able to analyze and interpret more accurately contemporary European politics.
Assessment criteria
First attempt (during the last class): online test at the Kampus platform (20 multiple-choice questions)
Second attempt (during teacher's office hours): oral exam.
