Phraseology and phrasematics of contemporary polish language 2101-0DM4FFWP-OG
The lecture is devoted to the analysis of the most vivid events of modern phraseology and phrasematic. Indicates the source of its enrichment (analysis shall be subjected to the so-called. Neo-phrases), causes the disappearance of many phraseological units, complex and ambiguous nature of phraseological phenomena, capable of being expressed in terms developed by the lexicology, syntax, etymology, theory of literature. The phraseology as an interdisciplinary field, which might be of interest for media experts and linguists, literary theorists, political scientists and scholars of advertising. This matter is analyzed by many schools of linguistics with particular emphasis on methods developed by cognitivism. Points to the pragmatic aspects of the use of idioms and phrases in various styles of contemporary Polish, the recessive, durable and expansive phraseology of contemporary texts. Draws attention to the pragmatic and cultural nature of idioms, the resource is stored in the phraseological knowledge of the world, the system of values and beliefs. It discusses the characteristics of colloquial phraseology, journalistic, political, official and artistic
Indicates the basic functions of idioms in texts created by the so-called - symbolic elites.

After completing the course, students know:
Key terms for the description and analysis of contemporary Polish phraseology resource,
basic mechanisms that govern changes in the information resource;
know major compendia collecting both ancient and modern phraseology.
Skills:
Student knows how to:
classify phraseological units (i.e., isolated phrases, expressions and phrases),
explains the reasons for changes in contemporary phraseological Polish;
student develops the basic features of phraseological units (i.e., its meaning, scope of use, marked by stylistic and emotional).
Competences.
The student understands:
What role in the text (including the journalistic, official and artistic texts) play idioms and phrases;
pragmatic use and modification of eristic verbal formulas,
understands the sense of preservation and protection of the resource base phraseology (including proverbs) of modern Polish.
