Varsavianistics 0000-VARSAW-OG
The programme of lectures and information about classes are being posted and continuously updated at: www.varsavianistyka.pl.
Interesting form of lectures, not only in the form of a classic presentation but sometimes in the form of interdisciplinary confrontation between experts with the participation of students.
The varsavianistic lectures constitute a part of the great copyright "Project Warszawa" of Dr Marek Ostrowski, where students are not only listeners, but also co-authors, who successively may insert their ideas and projects that are implemented in their fields as on the example of the capital. Apart from interdisciplinary publication of knowledge about the mechanisms of metropolis performance, of the urban space and its development: geographical, historical, social, economical, scientific, intellectual, cultural, administrative, etc. it is also important to include subsequent generations of students in the circle of concern, inspiration and cooperation in the interest of Warsaw. This is probably the first educational program with such assumptions and on such a scale, which so far was not created by any other universities in their environments in the world. The program in which students would be acquainted with the history and the present day of our city with a chance for active creation of its space and image.
Lectures are held at the Faculty of Biology - Campus Ochota, 1,Miecznikowa street, the main auditorium.
