Microcourse: UX/UI for Mobile Apps 0000-MIKRO-UXUI-UP
Topics to be discussed:
1. Fundamentals of User Experience design: characteristics of mobile devices; system guidelines (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design)
2. Introduction to User Interface (UI) design: color theory, typography, iconography, composition theory, heuristics
3. UX design methodology in UCD – creating personas and user stories
4. Introduction to information architecture, process design patterns, navigation patterns, and mobile app component patterns
5. Overview of Figma features - frames, masking, working with shapes.
6. Components and auto-layout
7. Design systems and UI kits
8. RWD (Responsive Web Design)
9. Variables and dynamic interfaces.
10. Prototyping and testing, user-flow notation
11. AI-assisted design
Practical exercises based on real implementation examples will be conducted during the course. Students create a complete mobile application project from concept to prototype.

Learning outcomes
The graduate knows and understands:
· the basic concepts of user experience design and mobile application interfaces
· the UX design cycle: research, analysis, ideation, wireframing, testing, iteration
· design principles and platform guidelines for mobile systems (iOS/Android)
· the role of visual hierarchy, navigation, color, typography, and proportions in mobile design
The graduate is able to:
• conduct user needs analysis and design the structure of an application (user flow, screen map)
• create low- and high-fidelity wireframes in Figma adapted to mobile devices
• design coherent UI systems and mobile prototypes
• use the full functionality of Figma: components, auto-layout, styles, prototyping
• prepare and conduct basic usability tests and apply improvements
• build responsive and scalable designs functioning across various mobile devices
