Diplomacy and International Affairs 4219-AL-FE103-OG
An introduction to the main aspects and actors of the diplomatic world and international relations, which seeks to contribute to the understanding of complex international relations, with emphasis on the links between Europe and the US, together with the Latin American countries, its impact on the global news and in the personal lives of each one. Issues such as democracy and politics; Ecology and environment, as well as migration, refuge and diplomatic protection will be treated during the programme.

Learning outcomes
The main intention is to help the students to obtain a better understanding of the foundations of the international theater and of the practice of diplomacy, to better understand the political and social events of our times and in what ways it affects their lives.
Likewise, information will be provided on the diplomatic relations between Europe and America, to strengthen their knowledge of the history and the international political culture of both continents, to provide the students with the capacity to better understand the world and its politics, and help them to develop a more global view of current history and events.
Assessment criteria
Group and personal assignments. Exams according to the university’s customs. The goal is to evaluate the students understanding of the topic and the use of the information taught with their own criteria.
