The proposed work and research interests of participants of the seminar can be quite broad and concern eg .:
- unipolar (the USA after the Cold War) and multipolar world;
- interaction of European model of integration processes on globe (MERCOSUR, NAFTA, ASEAN, APEC, etc.)
- Europe in globalization processes, including such important and weighty as the greenhouse effect, environmental protection, implementation of the Kyoto protocol, etc.
- Europe's relationship with key partners, ie. the United States, Russia (post-Soviet territories, including in the framework of the" eastern dimension "of EU external policy), China, Far and Middle East, South-East Asia;
- attempting to look at Europe and the processes occurring in it from the outside.

Learning outcomes
The result of the seminar is to prepare a master thesis. The student should master the methods and techniques of scientific research and techniques of writing a scientific text.
KNOWLEDGE
Student:
1.Has structured, in-depth knowledge, including terminology, theories and methodology in the field of European affairs and European integration, in relation to the subject thesis.
2.Has structured, in-depth knowledge of the issues of European studies.
3.Has a detailed knowledge of modern research achievements in the field corresponding to a thesis.
4. Knows and understands advanced methods of analysis, interpretation, evaluation, and problematisation of the various problems in the area of their own research.
5. Knows the basic rules for the application of copyright law relating to the thesis.
SKILLS
1. Can search, analyze, evaluate, select and integrate data and information from various sources.
2. Can formulate critical judgments based on knowledge.
3. Has in-depth research skills, including an analysis of the work of other authors, interpretation, synthesis of different ideas and views, selection methods and constructing research tools.
4. Ia able to develop and present the results of the study.
5. Can independently acquire knowledge and expand research skills.
6. Independently proposes a solution to the problem.
7. Has ability: to build a substantive argumentation, using their own views and the views of other authors, to formulate of proposals, and to create of synthetic summaries.
8. Can communicate orally and in writing with specialists in the field of European studies and related fields in Polish and foreign language.
9. Can read specialist literature in Polish and foreign language.
10. Is able to prepare written statements in Polish.
11. Can work under the guidance of a tutor and accept constructive criticism.
12. Is. able to plan the stages of research.
SOCIAL COMPETENCE
1.Understands the need to learn throughout life.
2. Identifies and resolves dilemmas related to the research.
Assessment criteria
Credit graduate seminar:
Semester I:
- Attendance,
- The formulation of theses research
- Identification of the problem (theme) of work, design of the work plan divided into chapters,
- Collection of literature (including literature in foreign languages) and constructing a proper bibliography,
- Critical analysis of the material, including literature in foreign languages,
- Improving language competence, grammar and spelling, develop the skills of drafting and editing.
Semester II:
Presenting at the seminar meetings following chapters of work in progress, regularly consult its content.
The supervisor assesses: systematic work, the clarity of the plan and narrative, completeness of theses, language and style, correct usage of scientific tools (bibliography, footnotes), original nature of the work, diligence in editing.
The pass mark for the whole of the seminar is to allow the seminarian to defend on the basis of approved work.
