Whole series is divided into 15 following lectures:
1. The Heritage of Mao Era (2 h)
2. First Stage of Reforms - Agriculture (1978-1984) (2 h)
3. The Second Stage of Reforms – “reforms within the system” (1 h)
4. The Third Stage of Reforms – “out of plan, China goes global” (2 h)
5. The Fourth Stage of Reforms – “harmonious society” (1 h)
6. China at the Crossroads – The Necessity of the Second Reform (2 h)
7. Power Shift – China on international arena (2 h)
8. The New Global Role of China – towards a multilateral order (3 h)

Learning outcomes
By the end of the course student:
- has the deeper knowledge on China and its positions in the global arena,
- can point out and describe main Chinese reforms,
- can analyse in multi-disciplinary way and criticly interpret Chinese actions in internal and international politics.
