"Solidarity" - trade union, social movement, political party 3502-FAKL67-LIC
The aim of the course is to provide the participants with the most important information about "Solidarity". Showing the history of this subject in the changing socio-political realities, as well as presenting the multiplicity of political environments creating this social movement.
The aim of the course is also to show the functioning of "Solidarity" in various dimensions, as a trade union, social movement and even a political group.
Participants in the classes will get to know the publications of both Polish and Western researchers (eg. A. Touraine, D. Ost) dealing with the phenomenon of "Solidarity". The role of the union in the first years of political transformation will be discussed. The subject of the seminar will also be to analyze the reasons for the decline of Solidarity in the 21st century

Assessment criteria
