Reading Marx. Introduction to the reading of Capital 3501-CZM18-S-OG
The reading of Marx’ writings is in Poland permanently not especially philosophical. Different historical and polical contexts are here to be blamed. Although, there is a large amount of very reasonable books and articles on Marx published in Poland, the author of Capital is still mainly regarded in our country as a founder of the „ideology of Communism”. Our aim would be to correct such suppositions and the thorough analysis of the main lines of Marxian argumentation. We would also stress the philosophical origins of Karl Marx writings. We will try to show what the real Carl Marx is – as a philosopher and also as a revolutionary. This year we will focus on A Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy and several other writings which preceded the publishing of the first volume of Capital.
