Absolute and History. In the Circle of Russian Thought 3501-AHMR19-S-OG
The seminar has a long tradition. It is devoted to selected issues and nineteenth-century and contemporary figures, including the most recent Russian philosophical, religious, theological, social, also political and critical-literary thought. Activities are foretold whose heroes and themes will be, among others Sołovjov, Frank, Florenski, Dostoyevsky, Berdajev, Bakhtin, Tolstoy, Karsavin, icon, Russian positivism, Russian neo-Kantianism, theology of the Orthodox Church and others. We are observing the currently published literature devoted to Russian thought, both Polish and foreign, and we often invite to the meetings of the authors of these publications. The object of interest is first of all philosophy, but also the intermediate areas between philosophy and literature, philosophy and religion as well as philosophy and political science, as well as the contexts of universal philosophy relevant to Russian thought. The specific subject of the seminar is largely open and resulting from the thematic proposals of the participants. An important aspect of the seminar work is also the translation of Russian philosophical literature. Particular attention will be devoted to the issue of religious experience (mystical, intuitive) and its epistemological aspects.
