The material is going to be presented in the form of lectures, dealing with the following topics: Colonial North America; Political and economic history from the American Revolution to the Civil War; American society and culture from the American Revolution to the Civil War; Political and economic history from the Civil War to the First World War; American society and culture from the Civil War to the First World War; American politics, society and culture in the 1920s; American society and culture: the Great Depression, WWII.
