Acquiring knowledge

The student acquires the understanding of what linguistics is and how it is related to other liberal arts disciplines.

The student learns terminology of cognitive linguistic as well as expands his/her knowledge of concepts and principles of linguistics.

The student learns linguistic methodology practiced in the U.S. and the U.K. and acquires the knowledge of theory construction.

The student expands his/her knowledge of English semantics, grammar and pragmatics with reference to general cognitive abilities and cross-cultural context.

The student learns how to use research tools and research techniques of cognitive linguistics.

Acquiring expertise
K_U01 The student acquires the expertise to use linguistic terminology in a skillful way.

The student acquires the expertise of how to use linguistic methodology in research projects, and in his/her PhD dissertation in particular.

The student masters the ability to present his/her knowledge in a clear and logical way, both in a written form and orally.
